About the Company

Company Profile

CHA Corporation is an innovative company that has spent over 18 years developing new technology to solve the world’s environmental problems. CHA Corporation was founded in 1991 to develop, commercialize, and market new and innovative microwave technologies for environmental remediation and air and water decontamination. We have completed eight Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) projects and five Phase II SBIR projects for the National Institute of Health (NIH), US Air Force, US Army, and US Department of Energy. In addition we completed five industrial projects for the California Air Resources Board, Dow Chemical, DuPont, Amoco, and Bechtel Corporation.

CHA Corporation has received over $7,000,000 from federal government and California state agencies and private industry to develop microwave technologies. CHA Corporation has also received grant funding totaling $1,000,000 for the next two years to further advance microwave technologies for air and water purification. Today, Dr. Cha and his team of skilled scientists and engineers are searching for partners interested in commercializing our novel microwave technologies.

The CHA Corporation has dedicated its research and development to advancing microwave technology because microwave technologies have several advantages over current air and water purification solutions. Microwave technology allows a continuous reactivation of activated carbon with the recovery of valuable solvents and other chemicals. Secondary air pollutants such as NOx and dioxins are not produced in the low temperature microwave-induced oxidation of chlorinated solvents. . Microwave-carbon technology also provides an effective means of simultaneous destruction of toxic chemicals and microorganisms in water and solids.

CHA Corporation would like to develop markets for the microwave technology jointly with their strategic partners. CHA Corporation will co-develop microwave technology for various applications to build a technology pipeline, ensuring successful commercial operations with high profit margins. To enter commercial operation with our microwave technology, CHA Corporation is currently seeking strategic partners or investors who have experience and/or interest in air and water purification. Cha Corporation has participated in the NIH Commercialization Assistance Program (NIH-CAP) and received individualized assistance toward improving our strategic business planning and market research capabilities as well as establishing strategic partnerships. CHA Corporation made significant progress toward achieving successful commercialization of the microwave technology through the participation in NIH-CAP program.
